Telugu cinema consisting of films in the Telugu language. It is one of the largest film production centres in India. In 1957, the film Mayabazar starring N. T. Rama Rao and Akkineni Nageswara Rao became the first telugu film to gross one crore. The 1992 film Gharana Mogudu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and starring Chiranjeevi, is the first Telugu film to collect a share of ₹10 crore at the box office.[1] In 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning became the first Telugu film to cross ₹500 crore. Its 2017 sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became the first Indian and Telugu film to cross ₹1000 crore.
