About this Wikipedian
- Personal
- Hi, my name is Carsten Cumbrowski aka Roy/SAC.
- I was born on April 14, 1974 in East Berlin/Germany, the ex-communist part of Germany called East Germany or GDR (German Democratic Republic).
- I was 15 years old and in the 9th grade when the "Berlin Wall fell" on November 9, 1989.
- I moved to the United States on May 15, 2000 and was living in Fresno/California until october 2015.
- I completed my Green Card process and became permanent resident of the United States in September 2007, over 5 years after I started it (see details)
- I moved back to Berlin/Germany in 2015

- I am an active "Wikipedian" since December 31, 2005. See my detailed blog post titled "How Did I Become a Wikipedian?" at my personal blog
- and also my Wikipedia edit counts via the "Wannabe Kate" edit counter tool.
- I am now "retired" and do only occasional edits today
- Hobby
- I am an ASCII and ANSI text artist and co-founder of the "scene" art group Superior Art Creations (SAC).
- I was active in the computer art scene, demoscene and the warez scene between 1992 and 1998.
- Roy was my "handle", but I am better known in "the scene" as Roy/SAC, because of my ASCII and ANSI text art work.
- I was between 1995 and 1997 the sysop of my own bulletin board system called "Closed Society".
- I have a site dedicated to ANSI and ASCII art at RoySAC.com , which also double-functions as SAC homepage since 2007.
- Professional
- I used to be a SAP consultant while I was in Germany and Switzerland
- I started web development and SQL Server database development in 1999. I learned my first programming language with the age of 13 though. The language was Commodore 128D BASIC.
- I also learned Turbo Pascal, COBOL, Foxpro, Visual Basic, T-SQL, HTML, JavaScript, ASP, PPL and ABAP/4.
- I got involved in affiliate marketing at the end of 2000/beginning 2001. I was an affiliate for over 10 years and also an affiliate manager for over 4 years.
- Since 2016 I am a business consultant for large companies in Germany.
