There is a Wikipedia article for 'Hugh Christopher Longuet-Higgins" which should be removed or else made identical to the one for 'Christopher Longuet-Higgins' Alternatively it could simply direct the reader to the Wiki for 'Christopher Longuet-Higgins' Bunkerpr (talk) 18:02, 18 April 2024 (UTC)

Can you provide links? From my end, when I type "'Hugh Christopher Longuet-Higgins" it redirects to "Christopher Longuet-Higgins". Or maybe I'm making a mistake? The first page is part of the French Wikipedia (note the fr at the beginning of the url). You are probably seeing it in translation. I don’t know how it works exactly with respect to duplication between different language versions of Wikipedia, but maybe more experienced editors can help advise here. I will ask around. On 5th June the text in the section 'Discovery and preparation' was replaced (by Smokefoot) with a text that does not explain how the spectrum of methylene was discovered. The earlier version (much of which was written by me) does explain this. Can you replace this latter version of the section by the earlier version? I really give up on Wiki and warn all students not to rely on what they read there since they do not know the credibility of the writer. But then I have told you this before! I don't want to get into an edit war, and would rather ask about this on the article's Talk page before proceeding. To that end; when he made the edit he also made the following comment: "Radicality is not a word in IUPAC or March and other tightening.
