This event is focused on improving Wikipedia content related to Canadian history - be that national, regional, or local history. It is free and open to the public. - Canada's National History Society, Winnipeg, Manitoba, 10:00am-8:00pm
- History 325 (101) class at University of British Columbia, taught by Andrea Eidinger.
- Historical GIS Lab at the University of Saskatchewan, hosted by the History Graduate Student Committee.
- W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections, Queen's University Kingston, 11:00-2:00pm, located in Douglas Library, 2nd floor
- University of New Brunswick Fredericton Wed Oct 18 1-5pm Tilley 028.
- Description:This event is an edit-a-thon to create, revise and add to entries on Wikipedia relating to Canadian history.
- Before the event: Please select entries that interest you from the lists below (Articles in draft and/or Articles needing expansion), and do some background research to find good sources/information to include on each page during our edit-a-thon. Doing some research prior to our event will help get things moving, so that we can spend our time editing (rather than gathering sources). Remember that entries in Wikipedia must be about notable people/organizations, and must have good sources to verify this. Your entries must be neutral, establish notability, and must not be copy-pasted from another source.

You can create or enhance Wikipedia articles, add external links, verify and update citations, provide resources to help those writing articles, and assist with research.
