Islam in Bhutan

Islam is considered a minor religion in Bhutan, with roughly 5,000–7,000 Muslims in the country.^{[citation needed]}

Mosques

There are currently no mosques in Bhutan.^{[citation needed]} This makes it one of the few countries without a mosque.^[1]^[2] The current Muslim population of the country, along with other non-Buddhist religion, pray at a small prayer hall built in Jakar.^{[citation needed]} In 2008, the Bhutan Muslim community built a mosque called the Jaigaon Mosque in Jaigaon, India, just across the Bhutan–India border.^[3]
